OMAHA, Neb. — The Tennessee Volunteers are looking to win it all at the College World Series. As of Wednesday, the team is only one win away from making it to the finals.

Fans are working to ensure Tennessee also wins in another competition: The College World Series Jello Shot Challenge.

The 5-year-old challenge is hosted annually by Rocco's Pizza & Cantina in Omaha. The competition invites fans to take a $5 Jell-O shot for their team.

"We started with some Jell-O on a shelf, then we built a bar and now we got an entire room dedicated to it," Rocco's owner Kevin Culjat said.

All proceeds of the College World Series Jello Shot Challenge are donated to on-campus food banks of participating teams and the Heartland Food Bank in Omaha.

As of Wednesday, Tennessee is leading with 10,319 Jell-O shots taken.

"My wife and I both have experiences in our life with people that have food insecurity," Culjat said. "It's a wonderful way to give back."

In last year's competition, $142,464 was donated to various food banks with Knoxville's Big Orange Food Pantry receiving over $2,000.

Tennessee takes on FSU on Wednesday. If they win, they'll head to the CWS finals. If they lose, they'll play FSU in an elimination game on Thursday.
