Jauan Jennings has message for Vol fans

In the post, Jennings says, "Vol Nation one last season! Support has to be there like never before!"

Jauan Jennings posted a message for Vol fans on instagram, suggesting that he could be returning to the team for his senior season.

In the post, Jennings says, "Vol Nation one last season! Support has to be there like never before!"

Jennings was dismissed from the team in November after an obscenity-laced rant about Tennessee's coaches in an instagram video. Interim head coach Brady Hoke and now former athletic director John Currie made the decision to dismiss the wide receiver.

Jennings later apologized for the rant in another instagram video.

Phillip Fulmer and Jeremy Pruitt have since taken over as athletic director and head football coach, respectively. Fulmer met with Jennings at his request but said the decision to bring him back or not would be up to Pruitt. In a press conference last Wednesday, Pruitt said he reached out to Jennings and thought it was possibly that the two could sit down and talk about the situation.

Jennings made two of the biggest plays in recent Tennessee history during the 2016 season, scoring the go-ahead touchdown in the Vols streak-breaking win over Florida and reeling in a Hail Mary pass from Josh Dobbs to beat Georgia on the final play of the game. He missed all but the first game of the 2017 season with a wrist injury.
