Two former Vols have earned Pro Bowl roster spots. Saints running back Alvin Kamara and Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson will play in the NFL's all-star game January 28 in Orlando, Fla.

Kamara is having a historic rookie season in New Orleans, becoming only the third rookie and the first since 1980 to reach 600 rushing and 600 receiving yards in a season.

The Atlanta native has racked up 1,456 all-purpose yards and is tied for 2nd in the NFL with 12 total touchdowns.

Kamara played for Tennessee for two seasons (2015, 2016) after transferring from Hutchinson Community College. He led the Vols in all-purpose yards in 2016 despite battling a knee injury.

Kamara averaged 142 offensive touches per season (8.75 per game) with the Vols. Through 14 games in the NFL, Kamara has 167 offensive touches (11.9 per game). He is averaging 8 yards per play, something that no running back has done in the last 25 years.

Malik Jackson's eight sacks are a career-high and rank second among defensive tackles. The Jaguar lineman has forced four fumbles, tied for third-most in the NFL this season.

He is making his first Pro Bowl appearance in his sixth season in the league. Jackson is the first former Vol defensive lineman to reach the Pro Bowl since Albert Haynesworth in 2009.

Jackson played two seasons (2010, 2011) for Tennessee after transferring from USC. He was named All-SEC in 2011 when he led the Vols with 11.5 tackles for loss and ten quarterback hurries.
