KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Dalton Knecht had his best game in the NBA Summer League, with the Los Angeles Lakers against the Miami Heat game Wednesday night.
The former Tennessee men's basketball star scored 20 points on seven of 18 shots, shooting in the loss. Knecht also had nine rebounds. He had a combined 24 points in his first two games against the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors. In those two games, he shot for a combined six of 25 from the floor.
His first highlight included a nice pass to Bronny James, the son of NBA superstar Lebron Janes, that resulted in a layup. On the next possession, he drained a three-pointer.
From there he was cooking like his days in Tennessee. He scored 10 points in the first 10 minutes of play.
He scored 12 in each of his first two games and had 12 points by the second quarter in this game.
