KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Four Tennessee baseball players have been named NCBWA All-Americans, the organization announced Wednesday.
Vols' first baseman Blake Burke was named a First-Team selection, while second baseman Christian Moore received a Second-Team nod. Pitchers AJ Causey and Drew Beam were named Third Team All-Americans.
Moore and Causey are both first-time All-America selections, bringing Tennessee's total to 58 All-Americans in program history.
Burke currently ranks second in the nation with 28 doubles, which are also the third-most for a single season in program history. The junior has posted a .376 batting average with 19 home runs and 56 RBIs in 66 games this season. Burke also set a new program record earlier this year with a 31-game hit streak, breaking Condredge Holloway's 49-year-old record of 27 games set in 1975.
First-team All-SEC selection Christian Moore is pacing the Vols with a program-record 32 home runs and 71 RBIs with a .375 batting average. The junior is also Tennessee's career home run leader with 59 home runs.
Beam earns All-America honors for the second time in his career following a stellar freshman season in 2022. The junior righty has made 17 starts this season and has posted a 4.44 ERA with two complete games and 93.1 innings pitched with an 8-2 record.
Causey emerged as a pivotal piece in the Vols' pitching lineup after transferring from Jacksonville State this offseason. The junior is tied for the national lead with 13 wins this season, and has amassed 117 strikeouts and a 3.77 ERA over 17 appearances and 86 innings pitched for the Vols.
