College GameDay announces trip to Norman for Tennessee vs. Oklahoma

This is the Sooners' first SEC matchup, and a homecoming for Tennessee's head coach Josh Heupel.

NORMAN, Okla. — ESPN's College GameDay announced their broadcast crew is headed to Norman, Oklahoma for No. 7 Tennessee vs. No. 15 Oklahoma. 

This is the Sooners' first SEC matchup, and a homecoming for Tennessee's head coach Josh Heupel. 

Heupel led the Sooners to an undefeated season and a National Championship while at Oklahoma in 2000. He was the Heisman Trophy runner-up, the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, an All-American, the AP Player of the Year and a Walter Camp Award winner. 

Heupel spent the 2004 season as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma under head coach Bob Stoops and went on to become the Quarterbacks coach in 2006. 

Kick-off for No. 7 Tennessee vs. No. 15 Oklahoma is set for 7:30 on Saturday on ABC. College GameDay coverage will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday on ESPN.
