KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee had three players earn D1Baseball All-America honors on Wednesday, according to a release from Tennessee Athletics.
Christian Moore, Dylan Dreiling and Blake Burke were recognized for their impressive seasons for the University of Tennessee Baseball. Burke and Moore were both makred as first-team selections while Dreiling was named a third-team pick by the publication.
This will be Burke's fifth first-team All-America honors this season, becoming the second UT player to do so with Tony Vitello as head coach, according to UT Athletics. The first was pitcher Chase Dollander in 2022.
Burke has joined a number of Vols, like Todd Helton, Jeff Pickler, Chris Burke and Luke Hochevar, who have garnered first-team aclaim from five or more outlets.
Moore received first-team honors in the designated hitter spot and has garnered All-America acclaim from all five major outlets this season, including three first-team selections after having one of the greatest single seasons in program history, UT Athletics said.
Moore finished the year as the nation's leader in hits (111) and total bases (236) while also ranking in the top-25 nationally in home runs (3rd – 34), runs (t-8th - 83) and slugging percentage (14th – .797), according to Tennessee Athletics.
Dreiling had a great season hitting .341 with 19 doubles, 23 home runs and a team-leading 75 RBIs, which rank sixth most in program history, UT Athletics said.
Dreiling's performances in the College World Series in Omaha earned him the Most Outstanding Player honors. He lead the team with a .542 batting average, three home runs and 11 RBIs during the championship.
