Carson Newman's Nick Brenegan scored 64 points in the Eagles 103-51 win over Newberry on Saturday night, and set an NCAA Division II record with 18 made three-pointers.
The Junior Guard broke the Carson-Newman and South Atlantic Conference scoring records with his performance.
Brenegan single-handedly outscored Newberry in the victory and helped the Eagles improve to 10-3 this season.
Carson-Newman will return to action to hosting Emory & Henry on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
