JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. — Carson-Newman Football publicly introduced Ashley Ingram as its new head coach on Wednesday.
Ingram has spent the last 16 years coaching at the Naval Academy in a variety of roles. His most recent role was Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Line Coach.
He is the first non-alum head coach since the 1970s. He is just the fourth non-alum head coach in program history.
Ingram is the 20th coach at Carson-Newman. He replaces Mike Clowney, who was head coach since 2020.
