Rocky Top Takeover | Bars in Ohio report Tennessee fans playing Vols' anthem ahead of playoff game

Multiple bars in the Columbus area reported fans using TouchTunes, an online music service, to play Rocky Top over the speakers.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Some Tennessee fans have begun using the TouchTunes app to take over bars in the Columbus area ahead of the College Football Playoff matchup against Ohio State on Saturday.

10News reached out to local bars in the Columbus area, including Varsity Club and Michael's Goody Boy. Tony Mollica,. from the Varsity Club, shared a video of some Vols jamming out as Rocky Top played over the speakers. 

Michael's Goody Boy also shared a screenshot of the TouchTunes app, showing Rocky Top as now playing.

Boudleaux and Felice Bryant wrote the East Tennessee anthem "Rocky Top," as well as a string of hits for The Everly Brothers, including the smashes "Wake Up Little Susie," and "Bye Bye Love," along with songs for other music artists. Rocky Top has since been adopted by the University of Tennessee as an anthem to sing during football games.
