KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A four-star prospect out of Cleveland, Tennessee, has announced on social media that she will be joining the University of Tennessee Lady Vols.
Lauren Hurst, who is ranked top 50 in the 2025 class, picked Tennessee over Clemson and NC State in her final three, where all offered her the opportunity to play both basketball and volleyball. Hurst averaged 14.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.7 blocks last season at Cleveland.
Hurst has an older brother, Grant Hurst, who is a walk-on for the Men's Vols basketball team. Hurst is the fifth commit in the 2025 class for new coach Kim Caldwell. She joins twin point guards Mia and Mya Pauldo, five-star wing Deniya Prawl and four-star guard Jaida Civil.
