KNOXVILLE, Tenn — The University of Tennessee is now accepting donations from the public for healthcare providers and patients.
"While we are urging people to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidance for social distancing and staying home as much as possible, many people are still looking for ways they can help," the university said in a statement.
UTMC is requesting the following:
MASKS - "We are graciously accepting donations of cloth masks as many in the community have offered to make them for our team members. When your masks are complete, please drop them off at the Flag Circle entrance Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm," UT said.
FOOD - "If you would like to contribute food for our heroic healthcare providers and team members, please click this link to send an email detailing your interest or call 865-305-6611. Our Development team is coordinating all donations." For the detailed guidelines for food donations, click here.
BLOOD - Visit Medic for More Information on Donating Blood
OTHER - If there are other items (hand sanitizer, face shields, scrubs, etc.) you would like to donate, please call 865-305-9135.
