Votes for Women: The 19th Amendment was introduced 100 years ago today

Tennessee Representative Harry T. Burn, who was 23 at the time, changed his vote after receiving a letter from his mom, which ultimately led to the amendment being ratified.

The 19th Amendment was first introduced on this day, May 21, 100 years ago. 

This amendment would grant women the right to vote.
