(WBIR – KNOXVILLE) After more than 15 years with Addias, on Wednesday the University of Tennessee will switch to Nike Wednesday to provide the university's student-athletes with apparel, uniforms, footwear and additional equipment.
The contract with Adidas expires after Tuesday.
Fans can expect to see Nike Vols' merchandise at four Vol Shop locations on or near the University of Tennessee's campus starting Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. A spokesperson with the Vol Shop said all Adidas apparel is 40 percent off.
The University of Tennessee released a photo of football coach Butch Jones late Monday to promote the switch to Nike.
Tennessee has partnered with Adidas since 1997.
