NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. — A woman is going all out decorating her Nolensville home for Halloween, according to WSMV.

The massive skeletons are helping to get people in the spooky spirit while also supporting a good cause. WSMV said more than 70 skeletons cover Liz McMahan's house as she is trying to raise money for childhood cancer research as part of the "Skeletons for St. Jude" program.

The decorations include a variety of spooky adornments including everything from skeletons hanging off the roof to spiders climbing the bushes. There are even skeletons snacking on some pumpkins, according to WSMV.

"McMahan has been making her own Halloween decorations for more than 20 years, but she decided to go over the top last year when she learned about the fundraiser," WSMV said.

McMahan said it's a chance for people to get excited about Halloween. She also said she has already raised more than her original $1,000 goal.

"It’s something that brings joy to people,” McMahan said. “I try to do it, so it appeals to adults as well as kids. You’ll find some creative and ironic spins on the standard motifs here, not just the standard skeletons and spookiness."

According to McMahan's neighbors, they look forward to the different displays every fall, but they didn't expect it to grow by more than 50 new skeletons in 2024.

According to WSMV, McMahan starts working on the displays for the next year in her garage before the current decorations are even taken down. Those interested in donating can do so at this website and can also find a map of all homes participating in the skeleton program on the FrightMaps app.
