KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — A South-Doyle High School student was taken into custody in connection to a threat that prompted a lockdown Thursday morning.
Officers responded to the school for a report of a bomb threat and called KCSO’s Bomb Squad to help clear the scene around 10 a.m. Investigators found the threat not to be viable, according to the sheriff's office.
The school was placed on lockdown for about two hours, Knox County Schools spokesperson Carly Harrington said.
"The school was cleared and went off lockdown around 12:30 p.m.," Harrington said. "Students are continuing with instruction."
