DUNLAP, Tenn. — A paraglider was rescued after a crash in Dunlap Friday afternoon.
The crash happened at the hang gliding ramp on Lewis Chapel just after 1:30 p.m. CST, according to the Dunlap Fire Department.
They said the glider crashed into a tree, roughly 100 feet above ground. The pilot wasn't hurt but wasn't able to get down from the tree alone.
Rescue crews hiked to get to the tree and took about six hours to get the pilot down.
Multiple agencies assisted Dunlap Fire with the rescue.
