Clinton — UPDATE: 10 PM TUESDAY:
Former Anderson County mayor, Rex Lynch, has won the race for Anderson County Circuit Court Clerk against incumbent William Jones, unofficial results show.
There are no Democrats running in this race.
UPDATE: 8:30 PM TUESDAY: Rex Lynch had a solid lead Tuesday over incumbent William Jones in early voting returns, according to the Anderson County Election Commission.
Lynch, the former Anderson County mayor, led with 3,493 to Jones' 1,516 votes, according to the returns released shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Early voting was held last month in Anderson County.

Jones faces allegations of sexual harassment from at least eight women.
Lynch is a former Anderson County mayor who resigned in 2011 after pleading guilty to sales tax fraud.
He has said little publicly about the allegations against Jones.
On Feb. 20, the Anderson County Commission called on Jones, 49, to resign after hearing about his alleged harassment of multiple employees.
They expressed concerns in a resolution that the county could be legally liable for what he's alleged to have done.
Jones was elected in 2014.
Jones attributes accusations against him to political assassination.
He's accused opponent Rex Lynch, a former Anderson County mayor, of encouraging the reports, something Lynch denies.
In another Anderson County race, Republican incumbent Terry Frank is running against Steve Emert for County Mayor.
