<The relocation of a polling place in Knox County sparked concern among Democrats, including one that serves on the election commission. As we've reported recently, Belle Morris has long served as a polling place in a district that tends to draw heavy votes from Democrats, but the administrator of elections in Knox County and a majority of the commission board agreed that site failed to offer enough accessibility for people with disabilities.Commissioners voted to combine it with another location less than a mile away, but that move upset a core group of Democrats, including a voting member of the board, lawyer and Inside Tennessee panelist Dennis Francis."It's just somewhat distressing. It just doesn't seem we are being inclusive of folks. I don't think elections should be exclusive; they should be inclusive. I think we should make them available for everybody," said Francis. He says a business engagement kept him from attending the board meeting and the formal vote on the polling site change. The administrator of elections in Knox County says the combined polling site at the Larry Cox Center should be even more convenient for voters. Both sides of this issue agree the upcoming August and November elections will reveal the true impact of the move.<
