County mayor is on the ballot in a number of East Tennessee primary elections Tuesday night.
In Knox County, the GOP mayor's race between Brad Anders was extremely tight, with Glenn Jacobs up by 17 votes over Brand Anders when the results were in. However, there are 43 provisional ballots to be evaluated that could affect the outcome. Bob Thomas came in third.
Linda Haney defeated Rhonda Gallman on the Democratic tickets. The winners of each primary will face off in August. Current mayor Tim Burchett is not running because he is term-limited.

In Blount County, incumbent Ed Mitchell defeated two challengers in the Republican primary, Harry Grothjahn and Dennis "D.L." Martin. No Democrats are running.
For Anderson County, current county mayor Terry Frank won a very tight race with challenger Steve Emert in the Republican primary. No Democrats are on the ballot.
Loudon County Mayor Rollen "Buddy" Bradshaw defeated Republican challenger Steve Harrelson. There are no Democrats running.
Incumbent Monroe County mayor narrowly lost the Republican nomination to challenger Mitch Ingram. Magan Shaw was also on the ballot. Regina Faye Burns is the lone Democrat on the ticket. She will face the Ingram in August.
There were six Republicans vying for the county mayor seat in Cocke County, and incumbent Crystal Ottinger came out on top, defeating Paul Cogburn, Randall B Lillard, Shane Mathis, Lora Moore-Wright, and Roger W Stokely. There are no Democrats running for the seat.
In Jefferson County, incumbent Alan Palmieri is not running for re-elections. Mark Potts defeated three challengers in the Republican primary--- Bobby H. Calfee, Rachel Niceley, and Robert Tucker. No Democrats are running.
Over in Cumberland County, current mayor Kenneth Carey Jr. is not running for re-election.Allen Foster defeated six opponents on the Republican ticket: Timothy A. Clafin, J.C. Hancock, Randall H. Kidwell, Doug Scarlett, Ligue M. Wisdom, and Danny Wyatt. No Democrats are on the ballot.
Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters is successful in his bid for re-election, defeating fellow Republican Jerry Grubb. There are no Democrats in the race.
Current Grainger County mayor Mark Hipsher was narrowly defeated by challenger Mike Byrd in the primary. No Democrats are running.
