A Sevier County man died Monday after a shooting on Bob Hollow Road, according to the sheriff's office.
Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals stated that 911 dispatch received a call at 3:05 p.m. Monday from a location on Bob Hollow Road just outside Sevierville City Limits on Chapman Highway stating a person had been shot.
Sevierville Police and the Sevier County Sheriff's Office responded and found Billy J. Huskey, 75, at the home suffering from a gunshot wound.
Huskey, who lived at the home where the shooting reportedly occurred, was transported to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, where he later died, according to the Sevier County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting is under investigation and a person of interest has been taken into custody on unrelated charges and the investigation is still ongoing by the Sheriff's Office.
