Zoo Knoxville not accepting tree, browse donations on Friday, Saturday

Zoo officials said this is in an effort to comply with the Knox County Health Department's drive-thru coronavirus testing schedule.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Zoo Knoxville is not accepting tree/browse donations this Friday and Saturday due to the Knox County Health Department drive-thru coronavirus testing event. 

The Knox County Health Department (KCHD) is partnering with Kroger Health and the City of Knoxville to facilitate a COVID-19 drive-thru testing opportunity for qualifying individuals in Knox County, according to a release from KCHD.

The two-day event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4 in the Zoo Knoxville parking lot (3500 Knoxville Zoo Drive).

The zoo asks that you call next week about donations when they are able to resume.
