KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Some lucky person is $1.1 million richer after buying a winning lottery ticket in Maryville.

According to the Tennessee Lottery, the winner bought the ticket at Lowe's Market and Deli, 2246 Carpenters Grade Road. The Tennessee Cash game drawing was Friday night.

Friday night you're hopeful. Saturday morning you're rich. It's a moment many dream of and very few get to enjoy.

The lottery sent word Sunday about the winner. As of that moment it didn't know who'd bought the prize.

WBIR reached out Monday seeking more information.

If you engage in such games of chance, there's an even bigger prize on the line in the Mega Millions lottery. The next drawing is Tuesday night and the jackpot is at $800 million.

Tennessee Cash drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Tickets are $1 per play. There's a "Quick Cash" option for another $1 per play.

Lottery proceeds go to promote public education in Tennessee.
