The 40th Annual Convention "Wing Ding" returned to Knoxville on Tuesday. It lasts through Sept. 1.
This year’s event coincides with Honda’s release of the all-new, completely redesigned Gold Wing.
Honda executives will be in town to present the new bike.
The presentations will be held on Wednesday, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Both will be held in the Lecture Hall of the Knoxville Convention Center.
The event also features an indoor trade show with over 200 exhibitors, seminars, and entertainment events, according to a release.
Law Tiger’s Bike Night is set for Friday, Aug. 31 in the Old City. The event includes a bike parade right down Gay Street starting at 7 p.m., ending in the Old City with a People’s Choice Bike Show, light show, food trucks, and a live broadcast from 93.1 WNOX.
Tradeshow tickets are $22 per day. The parade is free and open to the public.
"We are thrilled to be once again hosting the Annual Wing Ding convention here in Knoxville," said Kim Bumpas, President of Visit Knoxville. "This will be the fifth GWRRA event in our city, and we look forward to creating new memories with motorcycle riders for the 40th year celebration."
The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is the world's largest single-marque social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing/Valkyrie motorcycles.
