HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (11:20 p.m.): As of 11 p.m., the Tennessee Division of Forestry has reported the wildfire at Caney Valley Loop to reach 253 acres.
The Hawkins County Emergency Management Agency is asking those in the area to stay vigilant through the night. There is still no evacuation at this time.

A wildfire has been reported in Hawkins County at 220 Caney Valley Loop and is moving east, according to the Hawkins County Emergency Management Agency.
No evacuation orders have been given at this time, but anyone in the area should avoid going towards the location, HCEMA said.
The Fire is around 40 acres in size and is 10% contained according to the Tennessee Division of Forestry's wildfire map. The map also shows a reported 13 personnel on the scene as of 5:45 p.m.
To stay safe during a wildfire, HCEMA said you should:
- Pay attention to emergency alerts and notifications for information and instructions
- Evacuate immediately if authorities tell you to do so
- If trapped, call 911 and give your location, but be aware that emergency response could be delayed or impossible
- Turn on lights to help rescuers find you
- Use an N95 mask to protect yourself from smoke inhalation or limit your exposure to smoke
- If you are sick and need medical attention, contact your healthcare provider for further care instructions and shelter in place, if possible
"If you are not in the area, stay away," HCEMA said.
