The voice of the Vols, used to echo throughout the 10news studio in nightly sportscasts for years.
Bob Kesling worked as sports director here at channel 10 for 18 years.
Kesling now has held his job with UT for 18 years.
He calls Vol football and basketball games on the Vol network and hosts the "Butch Jones Show" and "Rick Barnes Show."
Kesling donned the UT orange as a fullback in 1972, but his career quickly shifted to broadcasting.
"Did the first sportscast and when we got done Bill said, you did a really good job and then that gave me a lot of confidence, if I got a thumbs up from the CBS producer and more importantly Bill Williams that you did a good job then that gave me a lot of confidence" said Kesling.
His time at UT has been special, he is honored to be the voice of the Vols.
However, Kesling says he is not an entertainer.
"I'm not an entertainer, I'm a reporter. There are some guys that think they have to be entertainers, I can't do that, I've just got to report"
"I guess it’s from my days being around Bill Williams so much, just tell me the story, and tell me what's going on and let everything fall into its place and that's what I've tried to do"
