Here's where you can go to vote early for the 2024 general election in East Tennessee

Registered Tennessee voters can cast their ballots beginning Wednesday, Oct. 16.

TENNESSEE, USA — Election season is back in East Tennessee, and now is your chance to cast your ballot early. Election Day is on Tuesday, Nov. 5. and is the last day to cast your vote. Early voting for registered voters begins on Wednesday, Oct. 16 and will run through Thursday, Oct. 31.

Here is a list of sites where you can cast your vote early in several East Tennessee counties.  

The Knox County early voting locations listed below will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the exception of Wednesdays, when they will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. These sites will also be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 26. All locations will be closed on Sundays. 

Knox County early voting sites 

  • (Downtown) City-County Building (Small Assembly Room), 400 Main Street
  • (East) Carter Senior Center, 9040 Asheville Highway
  • (West) Downtown West - Unit 40, 1645 Downtown West Boulevard
  • (East) Eternal Life Harvest Center at Five Points, 2410 Martin Luther King Avenue
  • (North) Halls Recreation Center, 6933 Recreation Lane
  • (Northwest) Knoxville Expo Center, 5441 Clinton Highway
  • (Northeast) New Harvest Park, 4775 New Harvest Lane
  • (Northeast) Gibbs Ruritan Club, 7827 Tazewell Pike
    (Farragut) Village Green Shopping Center, 11437 Kingston Pike

These Knox County early voting locations will operate on special hours: 

  • (Northwest) Karns Senior Center, 8042 Oak Ridge Highway
    • Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m.

  • (South) Meridian Baptist Church, 6513 Chapman Highway
    • Monday-Tuesday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 
    • Wednesdays: 8:00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. 
    • Thursday, Oct. 17 & 24: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 
    • Saturday, Oct. 26: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
    • Thursday, Oct. 31: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

The University of Tennessee's Baker Center at 1640 Cumberland Avenue will also serve as a voting site from Oct. 28 to Oct. 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Oct. 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Voters will need to show photo ID when casting their ballots. Acceptable forms of ID include a Tennessee driver's license, a United States passport, a photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, a federal or Tennessee state government, a United States military photo ID or a Tennessee handgun carry permit with a photo. 

Anderson County early voting sites

The Anderson County early voting locations listed below will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays. All locations will be closed on Sundays. 

  • Anderson County Fair Association Building, 218 Nave Street
  • Midtown Community Center (Wildcat Den), 102 Robertsville Road
  • Hensley's Shopping Center, 3310 Andersonville Highway

Blount County early voting sites

The following Blount County early voting locations listed below will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Blount County Public Library and the Blount County Operations Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. All locations will be closed on Sundays. 

  • Blount County Public Library, 508 North Cusick Street
  • Everett Recreation Center, 318 South Everett High Road
  • Providence Baptist Church Annex, 5766 Sevierville Road
  • Blount County Operations Center, 1227 McArthur Road

Pellissippi State Community College on 2731 W Lamar Alexander Pkwy will also serve as a polling site Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Sevier County early voting sites

The following Sevier County early voting locations listed below will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Both locations will be closed on Sundays. 

  • Election Commission Voting Machine Warehouse, 1145 Dolly Parton Parkway
  • Seymour Public Library, 137 West Macon Lane

Loudon County early voting sites

The following Loudon County early voting locations listed below will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Both locations will be closed on Sundays. 

  • County Election Commission (Room 108),100 River Road
  • Roane State Community College, 100 West Broadway

The Community Church at Tellico Village at 130 Chota Center will also serve as a polling location from Oct. 22 to Oct. 25 Tuesday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
