It is also National Safe Boating Week and TWRA wants to remind you to stay safe on the water. The agency said they have seen an increase in traffic on Tennessee's lakes and rivers.
TWRA wants you to be boater-education certified, to always wear your life jacket, never use alcohol or drugs and to know the rules of the water.
They also suggest that you make sure your boat is ready with properly working fire extinguishers and working navigation lights.
