The TWRA is the first government wildlife agency in the nation to start its own online streaming platform.
It recently launched TWRA.tv to broadcast video content including the show “Tennessee Uncharted,” a collaboration between Extreme Outdoors TV and Horton Group Inc.
Already streaming is the complete Season 1 of “Tennessee Uncharted.” New episodes from Season 2 are being added weekly after airing on public TV stations across the state and are available anytime.
TWRA is allowing subscribers full-access to all platform content as well as the ability to upload and share their own videos.
Subscriptions cost $4.99 per month.
“These trends create a huge opportunity for TWRA to serve a growing online video demand for many different audiences,” said Don King, TWRA chief of information and education.
Outdoors businesses and groups can use the platform’s sponsorship-integration functionality as a marketing tool.
“Sponsorship partners of TWRA.tv will be able to benefit from unique exposure opportunities to the highly-valued outdoors recreation consumer,” said Tom Loch, President and CEO of Extreme Outdoors TV.
A percentage of the revenue generated by the platform will go to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation and its support of conservation in the state.
The platform is available at tnuncharted.com.
