The Tennessee Valley Authority is asking for the public’s help on plans for a new dry ash storage landfill next the Bull Runs Fossil Plant in Anderson County.
The TVA’s long-term plans include converting the handling of coal combustion residuals from a wet system to a dry system at Bull Run and elsewhere.

The TVA said the project isn’t related to the proposed coal combustion residual impoundment closures at Bull Run and nine other sites announced earlier this year.
The TVA serves more than 9 million people in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
