TOWNSEND, Tenn. — The city of Townsend confirmed it recently placed its city manager, Danny Williamson, on paid administrative leave.
Townsend Mayor Donald Prater said the city could not say more on why Williamson was placed on administrative leave and said it was "a personnel matter."
According to the city of Townsend, Williamson was promoted in 2022 to become Townsend's first city manager. He previously served as the city recorder.
