tnAchieves looking for 5,000 volunteer mentors for 2025 school year to help high school students transition to college

"Your support can change lives and help shape Tennessee's future workforce," tnAchieves said.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The 2025 mentor recruitment opened on Monday as part of the tnAchieves program.

The program said it hopes to increase higher education opportunities for Tennessee high school students by providing last-dollar scholarships with mentor guidance.

"tnAchieves reaches and serves nearly 90% of Tennessee's high school seniors annually, working with 98% of all TN Promise scholarship applicants," the group said. "In addition to mentor guidance, tnAchieves provides extensive statewide student success coaching that is leading to transformational increases in retention and completion."

The group is searching for people who want to make a lasting impact by guiding students on their journey to college and into their careers.

"Your support can change lives and help shape Tennessee's future workforce," tnAchieves said. "Register today, students thrive when their community stands with them!"

The group said it needs 5,000 mentors by Nov. 15.

The program also posted a list of steps that someone must take to become a mentor. The five-step process begins with registering through its website, followed by selecting a high school, completing orientation, attending in-person meetings and working with a group of up to three students assigned to each mentor.

To register as a mentor, those interested can visit tnAchieves' website.
