CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Friday that a crash in Campbell County on March 27 resulted in the deaths of two people.

It said Robert Lowe, 71, was driving a Toyota Camry and tried to turn left from a retail store's parking lot onto U.S. 25W North, near Hatmaker Lane. Another 71-year-old, Georgia Lowe, was also in the car. At the time Robert tried to turn, another SUV was driving southbound on the same road.

A preliminary report from the THP said Robert "failed to yield to traffic" traveling southbound and tried to cross to the northbound lanes.

Then, another person crashed into the car. The report said the driver of that car is facing financial responsibility charges.

Both Georgia and Robert died in the crash, according to the report.
