KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a 34-year-old died on Sunday and another person was injured after a crash near the intersection of Asheville Highway and Arms Road.
According to a preliminary report, the crash happened at around 2:20 p.m. on Sunday. The report said Faith Corbin, 34, from Georgia, died in the crash. The driver of the car, Aaron Knight, 30, was also injured.
According to the report, Knight was driving in the left lane of Asheville Highway "at an excessive speed." While turning on a curve near the intersection of Arms Road, the report said he lost control of the car and went off the right side of the road, hitting a concrete curb.
After crashing into the curb, the report said the car rolled and hit a chain-link fence before also hitting a parked food truck. The car stopped rolling in a parking lot, THP's report said.
