KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee football came in at No. 15 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll, released Monday.
The Vols appeared in the preseason Top 25 for the second straight year after receiving a No. 12 ranking in the 2023 poll.
Tennessee was ranked No. 15 in the USA Today preseason coaches poll, which was released on August 5.
SEC foe Georgia earned the top spot in the preseason rankings and received 46 first-place votes, followed by No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Oregon.
The Vols are coming off a shutout win in the Citrus Bowl against Iowa to close the 2023 season with a 9-4 record. Tennessee finished the season with a No. 17 ranking in the final AP poll of the year.
Tennessee begins the 2024 campaign hosting Chattanooga at Neyland Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 31.
