Funnel cakes and fun | Tennessee Valley Fair returns on Friday, running through Sept. 15

The fair will feature a variety of events, including a home brew contest, monster truck racing league, an egg competition and even a G.O.A.T silent disco.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The iconic Tennessee Valley Fair makes its way back into town on Friday through Sept. 15, featuring plenty of fantastic fair food and gut-wrenching rides. 

One-day admission tickets to the fair start at $12 for adults, $9 for ages six to 11, and $9 for seniors. Tickets for children five and under are completely free. The fair will also feature countless concerts for families to enjoy, however, these tickets are sold separately.

According to the fair, the first one was held in 1916, taking place in Chilhowee Park and Exposition Center since day one! 

"We are the Tennessee Valley Fair - a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing East Tennessee heritage, agriculture and the arts for over 100 years! We also know a little bit about having fun," the fair said. 

The fair's gate hours of operation vary day by day, with the ride hours of operation also varying. A full list of times can be found on the fair's website.
