KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Vols baseball team is heading to Omaha from McGhee Tyson Airport on Wednesday.

The airport posted photos of the team with the headline, "This Allegiant aircraft is going to OMAHA!"

No. 1 Tennessee baseball will begin the College World Series on Friday, June 14 at 7 p.m. EDT against Florida State at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN and will conclude on the first day of the College World Series schedule.

The winner of this matchup will face the winner of North Carolina and Virginia on Sunday at 7 p.m. EDT. The losers of the two matchups will face off on Sunday at 2 p.m. EDT.

This will be the first matchup between the Vols and Seminoles that has not been played in Florida. Most recently, Tennessee was swept by FSU in Tallahassee in a three-game series in 2007. Tennessee is 4-6 all-time against the Seminoles, and their last win against Florida State came in 1998.
