Tellico Village selects contractor to rebuild clubhouse destroyed in fire

RTC General Contractors was selected to rebuild the clubhouse and is anticipated to open in early 2026.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tellico Village leaders have selected a contractor to rebuild the Tanasi Clubhouse more than two years after the original was destroyed in a fire.

The club's main building caught fire back in August 2022. The fire, believed to have started in the kitchen, spread quickly and engulfed the entire property. No injuries were reported and golf operations were only suspended for a day.

RTC General Contractors was selected to rebuild the clubhouse and is anticipated to open in early 2026, Tellico Village leaders said. So far, they've hired an architect and started the planning phases for a new clubhouse.

The total cost of the new clubhouse is projected at $11.5 million. The clubhouse will have a restaurant, private dining, golf flex space and a pro shop, according to Tellico Village leaders.

Construction is expected to take 12 to 14 months.
