TDEC extends closure of all 56 Tennessee state parks

The closure has been extended beyond April 14 in support of Governor Bill Lee's most recent executive order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation announced Tuesday it will be extending its closure all 56 state parks and state-owned natural areas to the public that went into effect on Saturday, April 4.

The closure will remain in place beyond the original April 14 date in support of Governor Bill Lee's most recent extension of Stay at Home orders.

Tennessee State Parks did not say when they anticipate parks to reopen, but will be monitoring COVID-19 and will notify the public when they do so.
