CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. — A woman was airlifted to a Knoxville hospital for treatment after a shooting in Cumberland County on March 11, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said.
TBI said special agent investigators with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and the Office of the 13th Judicial District Attorney General are investigating a shooting that occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Deputies arrived at the 200 block of Smith Mountain Road due to a call about a shooting and found a woman who was wounded.
She was then airlifted to a Knoxville hospital. The investigation was active as of Wednesday, afternoon according to TBI.
