Staff and students at the University of Tennessee won't have to worry about opening those hefty doors at Hodges Library! The university announced on Friday it'll replace the doors that lead to the heart of campus.
The announcement also took a humorous take on the heavy doors at Hodges Library mentioning the attempts at replacing and oiling the hinges of the doors over the last 30 years the doors have been in place.
A Facebook video tutorial on how to enter the building went viral among Vols, and showed different methods students use when opening the doors. This sparked conversation with students on social media.
The university said remodeling for the Melrose entrance will take place in late May and early June.
