Smokies Stadium to hold 'peanut free night' on Tuesday

"Peanuts are a huge staple in baseball but we want to make sure our fans that have allergies are able to attend the games," Lindsey Archer said.

KODAK, Tenn. — The Smokies Stadium will not sell any peanuts at Tuesday's game so fans with allergies can watch without worry.

Crews have been hard at work deep cleaning the stadium to remove any trace of peanuts before the game, so fans won't need to stress about finding anything left over.

"We really want to make sure our stadium is a welcoming environment and our fans feel safe," Lindsey Archer said. "Peanuts are a huge staple in baseball but we want to make sure our fans that have allergies are able to attend the games."

The Tennessee Smokies will play the Montgomery Biscuits on April 16 at 7 p.m.
