School officials believe a senior prank turned out costly, to the tune of more than $10,000.
Last week, Seymour High School officials say someone broke on to their new football field, and spray painted several parts in orange and black.
Tuesday, the maintenance department at the school tried to clean the paint. Because the school has a turf field, and it's made of plastic, some of the spray paint is permanent, meaning they have to replace some of the numbers and designs.
The athletic director says they only had the field for two months.
"A field that's quite a bit north of $600,000, and we want to do our best to take care of it. And I feel it's a senior prank- a can of orange paint, and a can of black paint, and have a good time," said Gary Householder.
There's a reward for information leading to a suspect. The Sevier County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
