A new distillery has opened in Gatlinburg.
Sugarlands Distilling Company opened its doors to customers for the first time Friday. It's located on the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg.
The new distillery is named after the sugar maple trees used to make moonshine.
The distillery will even offer Moonshine in the Mountains, an outdoor experience in the Smokies. Tour guides will take customers on car trips, day hikes, and even back-country camp-outs.
