Sevier County EMA asks for residents to submit damage reports, some areas in the county remain inaccessible

Multiple areas of Sevier County had to be evacuated after flooding in the area. Most areas have reopened, but some remain closed, the Sevier County EMA said.
The Little Pigeon River rose up to people's campers in Sevier County overnight, but the waters are heading back down.

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. — The Sevier County Emergency Management Agency is asking county residents to submit any damage caused by Helene. 

If your home, business or property was impacted by the storm, you can report damages here. 

Multiple areas of Sevier County had to be evacuated after flooding in the area. As of 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, the Deerfield Mobile Home Park and Lazy River Lane remain closed, according to Sevier County EMA. 

The agency said the Deerfield Mobile Home Park is not accessible by vehicle. 

There are some now-open areas, but Sevier County EMA said multiple houses are flagged with yellow tape and are advised not to be entered. 

 Great Smoky Mountains National Park officials said Balsam, Cataloochee, Roaring Fork and Greenbrier areas are closed. U.S. 441, Foothills Parkway East, Rich Mountain Road and Lakeview Drive remain closed as of Monday morning. Parson Branch Road is closed due to potential fire dangers.

Many GSMNP trails are also temporarily closed or travel isn't recommended because of damage. You can find a list of the trail closures here.
