Sevierville Police officers arrested a local man after he allegedly supplied another man with drugs that killed him.
SPD officers arrested Elisha D. McDowell, 22, of Sevierville on Sunday after a traffic stop near 111 East Main St. Detectives said McDowell supplied another 22-year-old man, Mohammed Hafeez, with the schedule II painkiller, Fentanyl, that killed him on February 12.
SPD reported an autopsy revealed Hafeez had died from a toxic level of Fentanyl.
Officers charged McDowell with second degree murder.
Officers took McDowell to Sevier County Jail and is being held on $100,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
