10Investigates: Repeat DUI offender from Sevier County was also arrested in Dallas

Julie Huskey was arrested for public intoxication at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in 2022.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Sevier County woman who has been charged multiple times with DUI also has been arrested for public intoxication at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, WBIR has learned.

Since 2012, Julie Huskey has had four DUI arrests -- one in 2012, one in 2017, as well as two arrests this year in January and May.

A 10News investigation found that these types of incidents aren't confined to the state of Tennessee. Huskey was arrested in February 2022 at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. She was charged with public intoxication after her arrest there.

10Investigates obtained the incident reports and body camera footage from the time of her arrest.

In it, authorities prohibited her from making her connection to Los Angeles because she was too intoxicated. In the footage, she said she had drunk three Bloody Marys before trying to go on the plane. She slurs her words and becomes belligerent with officers.

The footage then continues to show them putting her into a squad car, while she continues cursing at them.

While Huskey is being transported to the police station, she continues yelling and cursing at the officer driving. Her seatbelt eventually becomes unbuckled, and the driver pulls over to buckle her back up.

She starts screaming and accusing the officer of sexual assault. As more officers arrive at the scene, she continues yelling the accusations.

According to court records, Huskey accused a Pigeon Forge Police officer of the same thing in January. After being arrested for a DUI 3rd offense, she told her arresting officer's supervisor that he had raped her.

After the accusation, body camera footage from the incident was downloaded and shown to the police sergeant. The officer was quickly cleared.

Her attorney, T. Scott Jones, provided WBIR with a statement on her behalf.

"The report and media materials supplied reflect an incident that highlights the issues and demons that Ms. Huskey has had and is continuing to struggle with. Any addiction, including alcoholism,  has devastating effects on not only the afflicted but anyone who comes in contact with them including family, friends and complete strangers. Ms. Huskey cannot expect forgiveness for past actions from the public and those affected by her bad decisions, but she can hope and pray for a better tomorrow and forgiveness from the higher power that judges all of our conduct. She prays for the victim every day in the Sevier County case and can only strive to live one day at a time making herself a better person each day. Ultimately, she is responsible and seeks to improve and abandon her past bad ways and decisions. "

The victim in the Sevier County case was 18-year-old Rocky Robinson. The Pigeon Forge Police Department said she had crossed three lanes of traffic and was slurring her words that night.

Huskey is being held in jail in lieu of bond, awaiting prosecution for two separate DUI charges.
