SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. — A person was airlifted to a hospital after an incident while clearing a large tree that had fallen, according to the Sevier County Sheriff's Office.
It said two people were clearing the tree and both were injured. However, only one of them was airlifted to a hospital. The sheriff's office said it believes the tree shifted on them while they worked, which could have led to the injuries. However, it said it was not certain that was what happened.
Authorities said Tuesday the incident happened on Russell Hollow Road.
Additional information about the incident, such as the identity of anyone involved or specific details about the circumstances surrounding it, was not immediately available. This story will be updated when more information is available.
