SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. — The Office of Community Relations with the Sevier County Sheriff's Office has been working hard for the 5th annual Mini Fantasy of Trees Fundraiser.
The group has spent the past week decorating three miniature trees for a fundraiser aimed at benefiting the Homebound Meal program offered by the Sevier County Office of Aging. SCSO said this is a program its reserve deputies participate in bi-weekly by delivering the food from My People Senior Activity Center.
"Currently, the Sheriff’s Office conducts welfare checks and/or food deliveries for approximately 100 seniors through our Senior Outreach Program," SCSO said.
The mini trees will be entered into a silent auction located at the senior activity center at 1220 West Main Street in Sevierville on Dec. 2 and will conclude on Dec. 6. The auction is open to the public with SCSO encouraging everyone to participate to help support the need within the community.
