ROBBINS, Tennessee — UPDATE (11/2): The Scott County deputy who was involved in a crash near Wolf Creek Road has been released from the hospital, the Scott County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday.
According to the Scott County Sheriff's Office, he was released after surgery and recovery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

A Scott County deputy is in stable condition after he was involved in a crash Monday afternoon, according to the Scott County Sheriff's Office.
Scott County officials said Deputy Michael Hanson was on duty when the crash occurred. According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the deputy struck a firetruck. Hanson was traveling south on Highway 27 near Wolf Creek Road, while the firetruck was traveling north.
According to the report, Hanson left the southbound lane striking the firetruck head-on.
The driver of the truck was not reported injured.
First responders and emergency personnel from both Scott and Morgan counties were dispatched and responded to the crash.
Officials said Hanson was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he will undergo further treatment and observation.
"We ask all of you to please help us lift up and pray for Deputy Hanson and his family as they go through this difficult time of recovery and recuperation," Sheriff Brian Keeton said.
